Primetime Emmy Awards ke-74 tengah mengudara pada hari ini (12 September 2022 waktu setempat). Disiarkan secara langsung oleh stasiun televisi NBC, Emmy Awards tahun ini mencatat segelintir sejarah. Dalang di balik Abbott Elementary, Quinta Brunson, menjadi perempuan kulit hitam pertama yang mendapatkan tiga nominasi komedi. Ia juga merepresentasikan perempuan kulit hitam termuda yang pernah berkompetisi dalam kategori akting komedi (Brunson berusia 32 tahun). Squid Game yang menjadi sensasi televisi global tampil bersinar sebagai acara berbahasa asing pertama yang meraih nominasi kategori Outstanding Drama Series. Sejumlah wajah lama kembali menuai prestasi; salah satunya, Succession mendominasi kategori Emmy dengan 14 nominasi di tangan!
